SLIP SLIDING AWAY: TROOP 44 INVADES THE ICE PALACE

A group of Troop 44 Scouts, adults and other family member slid up to the Ice Palace for an evening of Ice Skating. As with any truly great Scouting event, copious quantities of pizza were consumed to insure plenty of energy for the Troop as they hit the ice. It was reported that most Scouts hit the ice in more ways than one and more than once. It is rumored that Mr. Rice knows the exact number of overhead lights in the Ice Place, as he spent a lot of time looking up at them! But that was just a rumor, with very little truth behind it!

JANUARY 13: TROOP ELECTIONS

Troop elections will be held on Jan 13th. Elected leaders will take office on Feb 1. Candidates for Seniro Patrol Leader include: MATT BALDWIN, AARON HEPNER, MITCH KERN, Marcus Remington and ED STRUBLE. At the Jan 6 meeting, each of the candidates will have an opprotunity to address the Troop to explain why they are running for the position. Please make an effort to be at this meeting, because your vote counts! Carefully consider each candidate and vote for the one of your chosing. After the Senior Patrol Leader is elected, he will select his staff and then Patrols will be reorganized, to balance the number of Scouts in each patrol. Once the Patrols are arranged, Patrol elections will be conducted.

JANUARY 18-20: SNOW SKIING TRIP CANCELLED !!!!

The January activity of snow skiing at Winter Place had to be cancelled due to a variety of reasons. Mr. Rice or Mr. Hepner will out line the details to the Scouts that were signed up to go and will refund all money.

TROOP CAMPING PROCEDURES

In an effort to provide better accounting of the Troop funds, the Troop will be stricter on collecting payment for campouts. Please make every effort to register your Scout for campouts in advance and to pay the campout fee prior to the campout. Estimated Campout fees have been given for every campout for the year. When you bring your Scout to a campout, please be sure to check in with the adult that is conducting registration. Do not just drop your scout and leave without checking in. If you did not register prior to the campout, not not show up at the church, expecting to go on the campout, as food is bought in advance for the campouts. Thank you for your consideration of these request.
